Unit Types
Climate-Controlled and Drive-Up Units
Do I need climate-controlled storage in North Carolina?
If you’re storing wood furniture, electronics, photos, documents, mattresses, or clothing, climate control is usually worth it. Carolina heat and humidity can cause warping, mildew, and damage over time. Drive-up units are a good fit for tools, outdoor gear, and items that handle temperature changes.
What temperature are the climate-controlled units kept at?
Our climate-controlled units are kept between 60 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
What's the difference between climate-controlled and drive-up storage?
Climate-controlled units are inside a building and protected from heat and humidity. Drive-up units open to the outside, so you can park at the door and load straight in, but they aren’t climate-controlled. Learn more about climate-controlled storage and drive-up storage.
What unit sizes do you have?
Climate-controlled units come in 10×5, 10×10, 10×15, 10×20, and 10×25. Drive-up units come in 10×10, 10×15, 10×20, 10×25, 10×35, 15×20, and 15×25.
Can I get a moving truck to a drive-up unit?
Yes. The drive aisles between our drive-up buildings are wide enough to bring a moving truck right up to your door.
Vehicles & Boats
RV, Boat, and Trailer Storage
Can I store an RV, camper, or boat?
Yes. Our open gravel lot has room for motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and boats on their trailers, with virtually no length limits. See RV & camper storage and boat storage.
How much does RV, boat, or trailer storage cost?
It’s $2 per foot per month, with a $50 monthly minimum. For example, a 30-foot camper or a boat and trailer that measure 30 feet overall are $60 a month.
How do you measure length?
We measure the overall length, from the front to the back, including the trailer tongue and hitch.
Can I store a boat on its trailer?
Yes. Boats must be stored on their own trailers.
Is the RV and boat lot covered, and are there hookups?
No. RVs, boats, and trailers are stored in an open, uncovered gravel lot, and there’s no power, water, or sewer at the spaces.
Do I get my own space?
Yes. Each RV, boat, or trailer has an assigned space, rented month-to-month.
